Who: Local 2nd–6th grade teachers and students looking to explore science through hands-on, bilingual lessons led by passionate Cal Poly undergrads from Nuestra Ciencia.

What: A fun and interactive Learn by Doing Lab, featuring culturally relevant, standards-based science lessons taught in Spanish.

When: Friday mornings (9:20–11:30 AM) during Cal Poly’s Winter (Jan–Mar) quarter.

Where: On campus at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo!

Why: Nuestra Ciencia’s Learn by Doing Lab is more than a science lesson — it’s a way to celebrate language, identity, and discovery. These labs:
1. Inspire bilingual students to see themselves in science,
2. Support pre-service teachers through real classroom experience, and
3. Create lasting connections between Nuestra Ciencia, Cal Poly, and the community.
